National Constitution Center & African American Museum in Philadelphia

Experience stories of freedom, equality, and the richness of “We the People,” told through the African American Museum in Philadelphia and the National Constitution Center. Adult joint tickets are now available for $24 (savings of $4.50), youth tickets for $18 (savings of $3).

1. National Constitution Center - Freedom Rising

The National Constitution Center will temporarily close to the public starting Saturday, March 14, as a precaution related to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). All public programs through the end of March are postponed.

Select your FREEDOM RISING time above. All-day access to the rest of the Center is included with your ticket. The newest exhibit, CIVIL WAR AND RECONSTRUCTION: THE BATTLE FOR FREEDOM AND EQUALITY, as well as THE STORY OF WE THE PEOPLE, CONSTITUTING LIBERTY, AMERICAN TREASURES, and CIVIL WAR AND RECONSTRUCTION: THE BATTLE FOR FREEDOM AND EQUALITY are self-guided, and do not require a designated start time. Coming later this year, THE 19TH AMENDMENT: HOW WOMEN WON THE VOTE.

 

2. African American Museum in Philadelphia (ticket valid all day)

3. National Constitution Center - Civil War & Reconstruction (no need to select time)

The National Constitution Center’s new permanent exhibit, Civil War and Reconstruction: The Battle for Freedom and Equality, is the first in America devoted to exploring how constitutional clashes over slavery set the stage for the Civil War, and how the nation transformed the Constitution after the war to more fully embrace the Declaration of Independence’s promise of liberty and equality.
